My name is Cyndie Ford Purdy.  I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Alaska.  I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC) through the National Board for Certified Counselors and a Master Addictions Counselor (MAC) through NAADAC, The Association for Addiction Professionals.  I am certified as a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) for the Department of Transportation through NAADAC.  I am also certified as a U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Substance Abuse Expert (SAE).  I am a state-approved clinical supervisor in Florida and Alaska.

    My areas of special interest include personal growth and development, relationship issues, adjustment disorders, depression, stress and anxiety, grief and loss, and continuing care (after care) and relapse prevention from addiction disorders.

    I opened my counseling practice in Inverness, Florida on July 17, 2007 at 470 Pleasant Grove Road.  I took personal leave in July 2010 to work with the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (NCADD) in Juneau, Alaksa.  I returned to Florida in November and reopened my practice on December 1, 2010 at the same location with the same telephone and fax numbers. 

    I am a member of, and in good standing with, the American Counseling Association, The American Mental Health Counselors Association, the National Board for Certified Counselors, and NAADAC, The Association for Addiction Professionals.
